INSTRUCTIONS FOR DONATING STOCK

Thank you for your interest in making a gift of stock to the Federation.  A stock donation is an excellent way to achieve your giving objectives while maximizing your personal tax benefits. Please complete the following simple steps:

1. KINDLY INSTRUCT YOUR PERSONAL BROKER TO TRANSFER SHARES TO THE FOLLOWING BROKERAGE ACCOUNT:

2.  PLEASE BE SURE TO CONTACT TZLIL AT THE JFCA TO LET US KNOW THAT THE TRANSFER HAS BEEN INITIATED.

When stock arrives into our account, it does not carry the name of the donor.   In order to correctly identify the transaction to the donor, we also ask that you please provide the following:

a. Name of stock

b. Number of shares

c. Name of donor(s)

d. Campaign to which proceeds should be applied

3. OUR POLICY AT THE JFCA IS TO SELL THE SHARES AND REQUEST A CHECK FROM THE BROKER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The donation value will be based on the date the stock arrived into our account and you will receive an acknowledgment and tax letter outlining the donation calculation shortly after the completion of the transaction.  Please call the federation office at (334) 277-5820 if you have any questions.
